In early October, I went for a few days in St. Petersburg. The weather was quite windy, rainy and cold, but it
could not possibly affect my impressions. I was very happy and now I want to
share some pictures with you!
In this trip, I went with my mother, who was an excellent companion.
Every day, throughout our 7 day tour we discover new places. We were able to
visit the Hermitage, Peterhof, the Catherine Palace, Pavlovsk Palace, along
with their colorful and blooming gardens, as well as St. Isaac's Cathedral and
Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood.
В эту поездку я отправилась вместе с мамой,
которая составила мне отличную компанию. Ежедневно в течение всего нашего 7 дневного путешествия мы
открывали для себя новые места. Нам удалось посетить Эрмитаж, Петергоф,
Екатерининский дворец, Павловский дворец вместе с их красочными и цветущими
садами, а также Исаакиевский собор и Храм Спаса на крови.
Peterhof is rightly called the
capital of fountains. Here they are located at almost every step. For me, the
most memorable and impressive was the Samson fountain, located in front of the
Grand Palace.
Петергоф по праву называют столицей фонтанов. Здесь они расположены
почти на каждом шагу. Для меня самым запоминающимся и впечатляющим стал фонтан Самсон,
расположенный перед Большим дворцом.
Isaac's Cathedral was one of my favorite places in St. Petersburg. When I found myself in it, I needed to pinch myself to realize that this is not a dream. Inside the walls of the cathedral are decorated with mosaics and frescoes, and in the center of the dome hovers dove (unfortunately in the photo it is not visible). Also, from the colonnade of the cathedral has a beautiful view of the city.
Исаакиевский собор стал одним из моих любимых мест в Санкт-Петербурге. Очутившись в нем, мне понадобилось себя ущипнуть, чтобы понять, что это не сон. Изнутри стены собора украшены мозаикой и фресками, а в центре купола парит голубь (к сожалению на фотографии его не видно). Кроме того, с колоннады собора открывается прекрасный вид на город.
This Cupid of the Pavlovsk Palace will follow you, no matter what part of the room you are.
Этот купидон из Павловского дворца будет следить за вами, в
какой бы части комнаты вы не находились.
In the evenings we spend free time to explore Saint Petersburg. Invariably,
our route passed along Nevsky Prospekt. This street is the center of attraction
of tourists, so there is always lively and noisy, regardless of the time of
day.
По вечерам оставшееся свободное время мы тратили на то, чтобы изучить Санкт-Петербург. Неизменно наш
маршрут проходил по Невскому проспекту. Эта улица является центром притяжение
туристов, поэтому здесь всегда оживленно и шумно независимо от времени суток.
Along the whole street is full of
shops and cafes, and sometimes you can meet the artists demonstrating their
talents.
Вдоль всей улице расположено множество магазинов
и кафе, а также иногда можно встретить артистов, демонстрирующих свои таланты
Saint-Petersburg is often called the
Venice of the North, and now I understand why. There are so many river channels
and bridges.
Санкт-Петербург часто называют Северной Венецией, и теперь я понимаю
почему. Здесь так много речных каналов и мостов.
Going on a trip to St Petersburg,
get ready for what you leave a piece of your heart here, this means that you will want to go back!
