Last weekend was the real spring weather. Bright sunny morning foreshadowed a great day for a walk. Therefore, together with my mom and sister, I went to the city center. We decided to walk along the old quiet streets of Moscow. However, wherever we are, our way always ends in GUM.
На прошлых выходных была настоящая весенняя погода. Яркое солнечное утро предвещало отличный день для прогулки. Поэтому я вместе с мамой и сестрой отправилась в центр города. Мы решили прогуляться по старым тихим улочкам Москвы. Однако, где бы мы не находились, любой наш путь всегда заканчивается в ГУМе.
If the Red Square is the generous heart of the city, then GUM is its presentable face. It isn't for nothing that this largest department store has always been the center of attraction for guests and residents of the capital. Here you can buy delicious crispy pastries in the deli and a real branded Soviet ice cream on the first floor. You can also take a walk along the branded beautiful show-windows. And if you get tired of this kaleidoscope of colors, go up to the top floor under the majestic glass roof - a miracle of engineering. GUM is my favorite central department store, in which the spirit of the times is felt. Personally for me it isn't only the main store of the country, but above all an architectural monument. Getting here, I'm like I'm transported by a time machine into the distant Soviet past.
Если Красная площадь - это великодушное сердце города, то ГУМ - его презентабельное лицо. Недаром этот крупнейший универмаг был всегда центром притяжение гостей и жителей столицы. Здесь можно купить вкусную хрустящую выпечку в гастрономе и настоящее фирменное советское мороженое на первом этаже. Также можно прогуляться вдоль фирменных красивых витрин. А если надоест этот калейдоскоп красок, подняться на верхний этаж под величавую стеклянную крышу - чудо инженерной мысли. ГУМ - мой любимый центральный универмаг, в котором чувствуется дух времени. Лично для меня это не только главный магазин страны, но прежде всего памятник архитектуры. Попадая сюда, я будто переношусь на машине времени в далекое советское прошлое.
These thoughts just inspired me the theme of photographs, especially since the coat from my last sewing project refers to one of the brightest periods of fashion history. Under a oversized checkered coat cocoon in the style of the 60's mom wore a classic black pencil skirt, a blouse with a peter pan collar and a knitted jumper of a graphite color. Comfortable loafers and a small bag complemented this outfit that to easily walking the city and not get tired.
Эти мысли как раз и навеяли мне тему фотографий, тем более, что пальто из моего последнего швейного проекта относится к одному из наиболее ярких периодов модной истории. Под объемное клетчатое пальто кокон в стиле 60-х гг. мама одела классическую черную юбку карандаш, блузу с круглым отложным воротничком и трикотажный джемпер графитового цвета. Дополнили этот наряд удобные лоуферы и маленькая дамская сумочка, чтобы с легкостью перемещаться по городу и не уставать.

The resulting photoshoot became one of my favorites. Not only because of the location of the shooting, where the background was a famous historical passage, but also because the photos turned out beautiful, stylish and laid-back. This photo project reminded me of a well-known series of photographs by photographer Howard Sochurek for the magazine LIFE "The models of the Dior brand arewalking around conservative Moscow in 1959". Получившаяся фотоссесия стала одной из моих самых любимых. Не только из-за места съемки, где фоном был известный исторический пассаж, но и потому, что фотографии получились красивые, стильные и непринужденные.
